Jake began his career as a builder apprentice, gaining hands-on experience and developing a strong understanding of property maintenance, enhancement, and practical problem-solving. After over five years in the construction industry, he transitioned seamlessly into property management, where his technical skills provide a valuable edge in maintaining and managing properties efficiently.

Born and raised in Auckland, Jake is an avid outdoors enthusiast, with a particular love for snowboarding, skiing, and exploring New Zealand’s stunning mountains, Cadrona being a favourite destination. His experience in the instructing industry, including participation in North Island championships, demonstrates his commitment to excellence and personal growth.

Known for his friendly, approachable, and easy-going demeanour, Jake takes pride in building strong relationships with landlords and tenants alike. In 2025, he was recognised for his outstanding work, winning the Rising Star of the Year award at the PMC National Awards. He ensures every property is well cared for, tenants enjoy quality living spaces, and property owners have peace of mind knowing their investment is in capable hands.

Monica Pattison

Introducing Monica, our seasoned Property Management Specialist with over 5 years of industry experience. Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Adelaide, Australia, Monica recently made the vibrant city of Auckland her new home after a successful stint in Hamilton.

With a passion for creating seamless and enjoyable living experiences, Monica brings a wealth of knowledge to our Property Management team. Her dedication to fostering positive relationships with both landlords and tenants reflects her commitment to ensuring every property thrives under her care. Having multiple investment properties herself, Monica has an innate understanding of what fellow landlords desire – a proactive, efficient, and reliable property management experience.

Beyond the professional realm, Monica finds joy in the company of friends and embarking on leisurely walks with their cherished dog, Ziggy, accompanied by her husband, Jack. Caitlan Barrett

Originally from England, Caitlan moved to New Zealand at the age of 10, and her journey has since taken her across the globe. Having lived in Australia, England, and Canada, Caitlan has developed a rich understanding of diverse cultures and communities, which she brings to her work in property management. Now based in Auckland since 2022, Caitlan has a deep appreciation for the variety of lifestyles and opportunities that make the real estate market so dynamic. 

With previous experience as a receptionist at a real estate firm in Cairns, Australia, Caitlan gained valuable industry insight and honed her customer service skills. After returning to New Zealand to pursue her passion for real estate, she joined the Goodwin team in November 2024. Although new to the property management field, Caitlan brings a strong passion for real estate and a solid background in customer-facing roles, making her an exceptional asset to the Goodwin team.

Alyssa MacGibbon

Alyssa brings over 4 years of experience in hospitality and customer service, where she has developed a deep understanding of working with diverse individuals, ranging from children to adults. In addition, she has nearly 2 years of hands-on experience in house painting and decorating, which has provided her with unique insights into properties and their potential. This experience has refined her eye for the condition and appeal of homes, giving her a distinct perspective that enhances her approach to property management.

Alyssa joined Goodwins in early 2025 as a Property Manager Assistant, transitioning from a background with no prior real estate experience. Her commitment to learning, paired with her exceptional organizational skills, allows her to quickly adapt to new challenges in the real estate industry.

Born and raised in Waitakere, Alyssa’s life journey took her around the world before she was 16, gaining invaluable life experiences that have shaped her approach to both work and relationships. She is passionate about building strong connections with others and takes pride in being an advocate for the underdog, always approaching situations with empathy and understanding.

Alyssa’s dedication to process and efficiency, combined with her strong interpersonal skills and keen eye for detail, makes her a great asset to any team. Outside of work, she has a deep appreciation for all things art and music, with an eclectic taste that influences her creativity as an artist and painter. She finds peace in nature, enjoying scenic bush walks and beach swims whenever possible

Kees Mors

Originally from the Netherlands, Kees moved to New Zealand in 2019 and immediately connected with the culture, pace of life, and coastal way of living. After a highly successful 15-year career across hospitality—leading private events and managing renowned restaurants in both the Netherlands and New Zealand—he made the move into real estate with a natural affinity for service and people.

Kees has spent the last three years in property management, where his grounding in precision, communication, and operational excellence quickly translated into strong results for both landlords and tenants. He believes in proactive management, transparent communication, and delivering outcomes that protect and enhance the long-term value of every property he represents.

Genuine, calm under pressure, and deeply relationship-driven, Kees takes pride in providing owners with confidence, clarity, and care throughout the management process.

Outside of work, you’ll find Kees with his young family, or underwater—exploring new dive sites and the coastlines of Aotearoa he now calls home.

Sam Smalley

Originally from the UK, Sam moved to New Zealand in the early 2000s, growing up on his family’s Southland dairy farm before later settling in Te Anau—where his love for the outdoors truly flourished. After several years travelling and working in Canada as a tour guide on the Athabasca Glacier, he returned to New Zealand with a strong sense of resilience, discipline, and a genuine comfort working with people from all walks of life.

Before joining Goodwins, Sam spent the past few years working closely with mortgage advisers, real estate professionals, and tenants across the country, helping streamline utilities setup and supporting clients through the pressures of moving home. This experience strengthened his communication skills, operational organisation, and ability to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.

Sam also brings hands-on trade experience from his earlier career as a plumber, where he gained valuable insight into property maintenance, workmanship, and the importance of doing things properly the first time.

Approachable, honest, and highly service-minded, Sam prides himself on building strong relationships and responding quickly when clients need support. He is committed to ensuring both owners and tenants feel informed, respected, and well cared for.

Outside of work, Sam is most at home exploring the outdoors—whether kayaking, wakeboarding, hiking, hunting, or fishing.

Sam is excited to be part of the Goodwins team and looks forward to building long-term relationships while delivering a reliable, proactive, and genuinely personable property management experience.
