Originally from the UK, Sam moved to New Zealand in the early 2000s, growing up on his family’s Southland dairy farm before later settling in Te Anau—where his love for the outdoors truly flourished. After several years travelling and working in Canada as a tour guide on the Athabasca Glacier, he returned to New Zealand with a strong sense of resilience, discipline, and a genuine comfort working with people from all walks of life.
Before joining Goodwins, Sam spent the past few years working closely with mortgage advisers, real estate professionals, and tenants across the country, helping streamline utilities setup and supporting clients through the pressures of moving home. This experience strengthened his communication skills, operational organisation, and ability to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
Sam also brings hands-on trade experience from his earlier career as a plumber, where he gained valuable insight into property maintenance, workmanship, and the importance of doing things properly the first time.
Approachable, honest, and highly service-minded, Sam prides himself on building strong relationships and responding quickly when clients need support. He is committed to ensuring both owners and tenants feel informed, respected, and well cared for.
Outside of work, Sam is most at home exploring the outdoors—whether kayaking, wakeboarding, hiking, hunting, or fishing.
Sam is excited to be part of the Goodwins team and looks forward to building long-term relationships while delivering a reliable, proactive, and genuinely personable property management experience.
